Homeopathy relieves arthritic pains effectively

Osteoarthritis (OA) is marked by degenerative changes in the knee, hip, hand, elbow, ankle, or spine. What characterises OA is pain on movement, which improves with rest. The disorder tends to affect people, in certain occupations, more than the others, such as those involving repetitive, physically-demanding activity, like farming, construction, sports and production-line work. Obesity is also a significant risk factor for OA, primarily due to excess body weight placed on one’s knee joints. Heredity, or family history, too is suggested to play a role in an individual’s likelihood of developing OA, irrespective of one’s occupation.

OA has multiple causes; so, no one preventive step would be successful, although certain lifestyle and dietetic measures, including shedding excess weight, when one is on the higher end of the weighing scale, can cumulatively delay its arrival, or help one handle day-to-day activity with relative ease. OA represents the summit of damage to cartilage — the supple connective tissue found in the joints — over many years. It progresses from symptomatic pain and clinical findings to loss of joint function and even deformity in advanced cases.

Homeopathy is based on the law of individualisation. In other words, homeopathic remedies are selected on the basis of what makes the individual and his or her complaints unique — such as the nature of joint symptoms, personality, sensitivities and emotions. Homeopathy not only relieves OA pain, safely and gently, it also adds life to one’s joint health and overall well-being.

Rini (38) was diagnosed with osteoarthritis by her orthopaedic doctor. No amount of painkillers and medications seemed to work for her, except temporarily. This prompted her, the mother of three children, to seek homeopathic treatment. When we analysed her life space we found that she had a disturbing past with recurrent abortions. Her stressful gloom appeared to be the most likely cause of her tantrums. She would beat her children, yell at her husband and make everyone’s life, including hers, a living misery. Based on her emotional symptoms and her “frail” appearance, we prescribed her Sepia. Four months later, Rini felt emotionally better and perceptibly free from joint pain. This brought about a harmonious change for everyone at home.
