Stomach infection in medical language is known as viral gastroenteritis. It is a contagious disease. Severe abdominal cramps, diarrhoea and vomiting are the marked stomach infection symptoms This condition is also called as stomach flu. A variety of viruses are responsible for causing a stomach infection and it develops after coming in contact with an infected person or on consumption of contaminated food or water.
