Cure acne naturally the homeopathic way
Acne, commonly known as pimples or zits, affects teenagers, adolescents and even adults. More than $100 million arespent per year on OTC acne products. Scarring and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation are the most important complications of acne.
No matter how severe acne is, it affects different people in different ways and many people with acne suffer from insecurities, depression, and a poor self-image. Teenagers and young adults are more prone to getting acne due to the natural hormonal changes that take place at that age. Factors like heredity, stress, dandruff, abuse of cosmetics and smoking can trigger acne. Wash your face 3-4 times a day with a mild face wash. Use a mild anti-dandruff shampoo regularly. Avoid using cosmetics. Increase your fluid intake, especially water and fruit juices.
The cause of acne must be considered while treating them. I recall the case of a 26-year-old patient named Sonali, who had tried various ointments followed by oral doses of conventional treatment, but in vain.
Ultrasonography revealed that she was suffering from polycystic ovaries, a common medical cause of acne in females. Few doses of Apis mellifica, a homeopathic medicine to treat polycystic ovaries, resolved her cysts and acne. The intake of various drugs like steroids and anti-depressants can trigger acne. In such cases, homeopathy treats the primary disease, and the moment conventional treatment is tapered, the acne gets better.
Acne should not be suppressed by topical applications because the outward eruption that we see is a reflection of the internal disorder of the body. Homeopathy offers natural, effective remedies to treat acne. The main goal of the treatment is to control new lesions from forming, heal existing lesions, minimise the psychological embarrassment and stress, and prevent scarring.
